We head to near Ambleside for a long weekend in a hostel in the stunning grounds of Rydal Hall for a summer walking trip. Recently refurbished the bunkhouse is set in 30 acres of the Rydal Hall Estate, with communal areas and a well equipped kitchen. Accommodation comprises of a number of shared rooms and bathrooms. The bunkhouse is a short distance to Ambleside and there is a pub within walking distance and a cafe within the grounds.
Itinerary
Minibus leaves rear car park at Ty Penallta at approx 07:45am on the Thursday (cars can be left here for the weekend), with two stops on the way
Arrive in Ambleside at approx 2pm , where peopel can explore and pick up supplies before we head to the hostel - there are plenty of outdoor shops and short walks from the town, and we suggest grabbing fresh supplies and sampling one of the many local eateries
Friday, Saturday and Sunday - walking led by qualified leaders, opportunities to explore the area with optional evening social activities (chip super on Friday, pub meal on Saturday)
Monday - clean and clear the hostel before heading home, arriving back in Ty Penallta for approx 6pm (traffic dependent)

there is a well equipped kitchen at the hostel, cupboards and fridges; there are limited opportunities to get supplies from Ambleside
tea/coffee/communal milk and butter will be provided, along with dishwasher tablets and toilet roll

£160 (dependent on numbers and fuel). £60 deposit, £50 in May and £50 in June
