Your First Session

Your first taster session allows you to pop along, get to know us and try paddling with no commitments. These cost £5 and must be booked and paid for in advance -  we will then ensure we are ready to welcome you.  To book either email us info@caerphillyadventure.group or complete our New Member Enquiry Form and indicate that you are interested in Paddle Club.

Other Details

Paddlers should be aged 8 and over and have basic water confidence - we will perform a swim assessment in the pool prior to getting in any boats. We ask that participants wear a tee-shirt or rash vest over swimwear for the sessions. Many participants prefer to wear longer swim shorts as you can be in and out of kayaks and the water through a session. All other equipment is provided.

For insurance purposes membership of Paddle Cymru is mandatory following completion of your first 2 sessions. Participants should be aged 8 and over and subject to an assessment in the water prior to paddling. We ask that participants wear a tee-shirt or rash vest over swimwear for the sessions and many prefer to wear longer swim shorts as they are in and out of boats and the water during a session. All equipment is provided.
