The following are recommended kit lists for Summer and Winter walking in the hills and mountains. On day walks our leaders will carry a group first aid kit and group shelter.
For hostel weekends you'll also need additional kit such as change of clothes, extra food and sleeping bag - these are usually outlined in the event details. If in doubt just ask and we will be happy to advise.
Daysack (25-30 litre - approx) and waterproof liner
Small waterproof stuff sacks are very useful
Waterproof Jacket and Trousers (breathable preferably)
Base layers (thermals)
Mid layers (fleeces)
Sunglasses. Sun cream/Lip salve.
Socks (suitable for walking)
3 Season Walking Boots . (IE Not Trainer boots)
Gaiters - optional
Gloves / (waterproof preferably)
Hat/Neck muff - buy a CAG one here!
Food (Chocolate bar / nibbles for emergency snacks)
Personal first aid kit (with Paracetamol/Aspirin/Brufen/ few plasters, Tape, Compeed etc)
Headtorch (With spare working batteries)
Walking poles (Optional )
Drinks container (Sigg bottle/platypus, small flask)

Swimwear - many of our paddlers prefer longer swim shorts are they are in and out of boats and the water during a session

We will provide buoyancy aids, helmets as well as craft (kayak, canoe, SUP, paddles). We usually have some spare dry bags to help keep kit dry.
Swimwear
Paddle gear if you have it - waterproof pants, striders, cag, dry suit, helmet
Otherwise - T shirt or rash vest, llght and warm trousers - not jeans!
Old trainers (that you don't mind getting wet)
Extra layers
Dry bag for extra layers, food and phones
